This week's Rainbow Lady Challenge is...anything!

This is my DT entry...a nice splash of colour for the New Year!

It is a greeting's card created from my new CaroLines Garden digikit...Cosmos Canvas. The card uses one of the backing papers, a topper and the border layered and mounted on textured white card. The central topper was raised using dss pads. A strip of florists webbing material runs across the card and a Martha Stewart border punch decorates the edges of the paper.

This weeks Rainbow Lady Challenge is...Angels

This is my DT entry

The angel scene is from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams CD. The backing paper if from CaroLines Starry Papers Collection 1.
I created a dark blue border for the image and then it was printed on to card. Then I reversed the image and printed it on to acetate.The paper was faded slightly and printed on to paper.
I cut the oval from the acetate print and backed it with sticky-backed glitter 'paper'. The oval was cut out from the card image to create a frame.
The backing paper was glued to blue mirror card and the acetate oval glued in the centre. I put a 'halo' of glitter round the oval.
The frame was fixed over the oval with dss pads. Four bells were punched from pearl card and glued to the card.

This week's Rainbow Lady Challenge is Trees and Baubles

This is my DT entry

Unfortunately the colours are a bit washed out in the photo.

The card uses digital designs from CaroLines Christmas Silhouettes Sepia 1 kit and a snowflake corner from Christmas Silhouettes Sepia 2 kit.

You will need a computer graphics programme such as My Craft Studio or Serif craftArtist.

I usually start with the central images and build the papers etc around it, so this the order for it's creation:

1. Import the Xmas tree into the graphics programme and re-size. Import the peach paper with blue stars and re-size to surround the tree. Add a tree top star from the digis if wished.

2. Import one of the bauble sets and resize and position on the tree. Import the brown paper, re-size to make a border.

3. Import the peach paper with brown stars, re-size and surround the image. Import the blue paper and make a border.

4. Import the peach gradient paper and surround image. Import, re-size and position the snowflake corner.

Mirror image the corner, and then rotate to fit one in each corner. Finally import the brown paper and make another border.

5. Print one copy of the whole image on to card. Then 'break apart' and print out various sections and layer over the whole card with dsst pads. Print 3 of the tree with baubles. Squeeze a blob of Glossy Accents on to each bauble and sprinkle with glitter on one of the trees. Score and fold each tree in half, layer and glue one over th other...with the glittery tree being the last. For the tree top star you can either glue a sequin or print one of the digi stars when you are building up the card.

Embellish card with small star sequins and more glitter.

This week's CD Sunday Challenge is...Things with Whiskers

This is my entry...my lovely cat Tai.

To frame the photo I used 2 designs from Pam LeFors, then printed the picture on to card. The backing paper was from Peerless Designs Cuddle Upz (Meerkats set).

The photo was mounted on to a gold pearl white card and the paper on to textured white card. The border punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

Photo into one corner and gold ribbon to decorate.

Here is my DT entry...In the Bleak Mid Winter

the image and backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Thomas Kincade CD rom.

The window frame and acetate window are from CaroLines Creative Cut-Outs...Window and Door Overlays and the border punch from Martha Stewart.

The window frame was distressed and stamped with designs from

CaroLines Stars 1 Die Sheet (DS79C301).

The snow 'flakes' on the window are dots of White Opal Liquid Pearls.

This is my DT entry

The image and paper strip is from Ooh La La's Carnival of Colour CD.

Black sequin waste was fixed over white card and then the image glued on top. A strip of the trellis paper with message embossed with gold powder (sorry about the rubbish positioning) and glued to the base.

Some wooden tree embellishments coloured black and with some black glitter glue (men should have glitter in their lives too!)

TIP: If your printer doesn't like acetate...use dsstape to stick it to a piece of paper.

The Background papers are from CaroLines Starry Paper Collection 1 (DIG072) and CaroLines Starry Paper Collection 2 (DIG073). Both papers were faded in CraftArtist. Both available HERE.

Flower shaped brads were used to fix the aceate picture on to some textured card and this then layered on to the backing papers and brown card.

This week's Rainbow Lady Challenge is 'Inspired', the inspiration being a photo of a pink poinsettia.

This is my DT entry...a Christmas decoration for a wall or window.

This is one of my Decor Plates decorated using Sheena Douglass's Paint Fusion Poinsettia stamp.

The Decor Plate is from the Scalloped Circle Mountboard Cut-Out pack, painted with an off white acrylic paint, then stamped with my Lace Texture Mat and Galaxy Gold Brilliance ink.

The edges of the scalloped circle are stamped with a star 'edger' design from stamp set Edgers (LE02C327)

embossed with gold powder and embellished with glitter. the edges were distressed with Distress inks and a fan brush. The flower centre is dots of Gold Liquid Pearls and glitter.

Unforetunately my website is playing up at the moment...please keep trying, a new one is being worked on as I speak.

Here is my DT entry

It has been created using images from my new digikit...Poppy Parade (see below).

The entire card was put together in CraftArtist and printed twice on to card.

The three sepia poppy 'photos' and the poppy flower from the stem were cut out from one of the prints.

They were all embossed with clear Print Magic embossing powder and then fixed over those on the other print with dss pads. Then the length of pearls was glued between the different backing papers.

This week's Ooh La La Challenge is...Let It Snow

This is my entry

The Lentern Roses image and backing paper is fromm Ooh La La's Carnival of Colour cd.

The image was overlayed with snow (Wilma), printed on to card and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls Mist (which I have in stock but not on site...please e mail me) using a card oval as a mask.

The image was then layered on to the bp and card and then decorated with punched snowflakes, gems and Picket Fence (Distress Stickles) glitter glue.

This week's Rainbow Lady Challenge is...Spooks and Witches

this is my DT entry

The haunted house with pumpkins is from a Daisy Trail Digikit, the backing paper is an overlay from a digital scrapbooking site (can't find the name but the initials of the designer are DD) and the ghosts and bats are from CaroLines Creative Cut-Outs... Halloween Pack.

The web overlay was placed over orange in CraftArtist and printed. The house with pumkins added was printed twice on to card and cut out.

The ghosts were positioned on to white card slightly smaller than the house image and fixed with plain brads so they would swing out. White card glued to backing and then the house image fixed on top with dsst pads. The house itself was cut out from the second print and fixed over the house on the card. Windows and door decorated with glitter glues and glitter on the pumkins. The bats were slightly inked with gold brilliance ink using a fan brush.

This week's Rainbow Lady Challenge is...Silver to celebrate Cynthia's Silver Wedding Anniversary.

This is my DT entry

The background paper was from my stash. The flower heart was a peice of Dufex card cut with an Accucut machine. The swans were cut from mountboard (e mail me if you'd like some).

I painted the swans with silver acrylic paint and when dry, stamped one of CaroLines Texture Mats (TM32C88) over it and embossed with silver tinsel powder.

I used Metal Magic embossing powder on the small heart and pressed the letters 'C' and 'G' into it.

I layered the card as shown raising the swans with ddst pads. Then I added the flower heart and the crystal.

There is '25' stamped with silver Staz-On inside the flower heart but it doesn't show at all well.

The wine label and backing papers are from Ooh La La's CD Carnival of Colour. The bottle and glass are mountboard Celebration Cut-Outs from CaroLines.
The bottle and glass were inked with Eggplant and Silver alcohol inks. The bubbles on the glass are from CaroLines Seahorses Die Sheet (which is on offer at present), and were embossed with silver tinsel powder.
The border punch is one of Martha Stewarts. Embellished with punched butterflies and pearl gems.

This week's Rainbow Lady Challenge is....Autumn Flowers

The DT team were given a choice of digis from Glitterbabe

This is my DT card

First I converted the dahlia digi to a png. Then I somehow put a colour gradient on it...don't understand how...something like this in Photoshop: make a transparent background, place digi over it, make a gradient and press contl and G...and digi appears with a gradient!!!

I then created a background paper with the same gradient.

Imported both into CraftArtist, cropped the paper and changed the digi colour..had 2 peachy ones and one with the gradient. Placed over the paper strip. Printed it out along with another 5 of the gradient flower.

Cut out the five separate flowers so I had layers of petals. used a Martha Stewart punch for an edging on black card, glued the dahlia strip to it and then on to a card. The dahlia layers were put through a

Stamping Up embossing folder to give texture (Square Lattice) and decoupaged.

Gemstones for flower centres and glitter for the edging flowers.

This week's Rainbow Lady Challenge is...White Space

The DT were given digis from Card Mad Fairy

Unfortunately the scan shows the white card as a bluey colour...but it is white!

I used Sun Rays embossing folder from Craft Concepts to texture the white card. this was glued to blue

mirror card. The white card behind the main image is the same size as the textured piece but with the edges punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.

Both card arranged on to dark blue card.

I printed the digi flower on to card and coloured it using Weathered Wood and Faded Denim Distress inks and Gold Brilliance ink to add accents to the flower and stamens. The edges of the cut flower have gold as well. The flower was then fixed to the greetings card with silicone gel.

Gold Liquid Pearls was used for the flower centres.

This weeks Rainbow Lady Challenge is...Sweet Treats

The DT were given some digis from Whimsy Stamps

Here is my DT card

I printed the cake image on to acetate and the decorated the flower with glitter glue on the
reverse of the image.
Then, keeping the image the same size I coloured the cake digi in pink using Photoshop and printed
it on to card.
For the frame I used the large Scalloped Frame from CaroLines Mountboard Cut-Outs. I coloured it with Pink Sherbet and Pearl alcohol inks.
The background is a patterned card from Hunkydory, layered on to a square white greeting's card.
I cut round both cake images to make a square slightly larger than the mountboard frame aperture.
The acetate cake was glued to the inside of the frame.
The card cake was glued in the centre of the greetings card. The lower half of the cake was embellished with Silver Flowersoft stuck with silicone gel. I glued some patches of sugar strands to the top part.
When this was dry, I put double-sided sticky tape round the outside of the square, placed hundreds and thousands in space and then glued on the frame.

This weeks challenge is to use acetate.

The DT members were given a choice of digis from CHICHI DIGIS.

This is my entry.

The lantern uses a paper from MCS Christmas Paper Flower Expert, the digi from ChiChi and the digital lantern template from CaroLines Digistamps.

I printed the paper design on to good quality inkjet card. The imported the lantern template, resized it and printed it on the reverse of the pattern.

The ChiChi digi image was reversed, resized to fit the lantern window (create a square the right size outlined with a plae colour and then centre the image) and printed on to acetate.

I coloured the digis using Copic pens and then cut each out leaving a small border all round the square.

The window were glued on the lantern. The score lines scored using an embossing tool and the lantern folded and glued as per instructions that come with the digi.

The lantern handle was decorated with curled lametta and snowflake confetti glued on the lantern lid.

The lantern can be easily changed to a gift box by not cutting the windows out and by placing a square of card in the base. They also look good with a battery operated tealight candle...HERE.

Rainbow Lady Challenge #168

The theme for this week's Rainbow Lady Challenge is...'Let's emboss it'

This is my DT entry...a hanging mobile decoration

The mobile uses the mountboard Layering Flower Cut-Outs from CaroLines with a number of different embossing techniques. These mountboard Cut-Outs are great for using embossing and painting techiques on as they don't buckle or warp.

Firstly, holes were punched in the flowers so that twine could be threaded through later.

The top section of the mobile uses the largest and smallest mountboard flower shapes. Two large flowers were coloured with alcohol inks in orange, brown and gold. Then a small eyelet flower from CaroLines Eyelet Die Sheet was stamped randomly over the flowers.

The two small flowers were embossed using the Cuttlebug and a dotted embossing folder and then inked with Galaxy Gold Brilliance ink. They were then inked with Versamark ink and several layers of clear embossing powder. Some brown glitter was sprinkled on while the embossing was still hot. They were then glued to the centre of the large flowers.

The two next largest flowers were coloured with alcohol inks and then embossed using another Cuttlebug folder. The raised embossing was painted using the gold Brilliance ink and a bit of gold glitter applied.

The remaining flowers were again coloured with alcohol inks. The small eyelet flower was then stamped with Pearlescent Chocolate Brilliance ink and embossed with clear powder.

Various gemstones were used to embellish the flowers.

The mobile was then assembled using twine and wooden beads.

Rainbow Lady Challenge #167

This weeks Rainbow Lady Challenge is Faux Postage featuring designs from Chocolate Baroque.

This is my DT entry

The DT members were given a set of Faux Postage rubber stamps and a digi template for creating a sheet of postage stamps.

The backing paper, border, tag and butterfly are from Artylicious Blissful Butterflies CD.

I changed the template to a png file so I could print the template over the paper. The template was also printed on acetate and the rectangles cut out.

TIP: If your printer won't take acetate...fix it glossy side to a piece of paper using a little dsst at one end.

Using the acetate to mask the grid, I decorated the 'stamps' using the set of stamps with Versafine and Brilliance inks.

I decorated the border with the stamps and trimmed each side with deckle-edged scissors.

The tag was decorated in the same way and the butterfly was embossed with Print Magic (silver) powder

and glued to the tag with artificial flower stamens for antennae.

I then cut the sides of each of the middle row of 'stamps' and threaded the border through. I added

dragonfly brads to the card and glued it to dark blue card layered over lilac.

Finally, a few gemstones were used to embellish the threaded border.

This is my DT entry for Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week...Your Song Choice

Us DT members were given a choice of 3 digis from Stamping Boutique...I chose the tulips in watering can.

I had a photo of a tulip that I had taken earlier this year so used it to create the backing paper and tulip images in Photoshop and CraftArtist. I also used a Google map of Amsterdam.

I liked the sepia look and I've tried to create a similar effect on the digistamp. I used watercolour pencils to colout the image...but used a damp paintbrush to pick up colour from the pencil...it was too bright to use the pencils directly on the card. When dry, I painted Crackle Accents over the watering can and used Distress Tattered Rose glitter glue on the roses. The leaves have a bit of another glitter glue.

I liked the tulips so I created a mini Digikit Collection download which is available HERE at

This weeks Rainbow Lady Challenge is...Stamp It.

This is my DT entry

The window is a digi from ChiChi Memories.
The backing paper and the paper behind the window is from Joanna Sheen's CD...Thomas Kincade.

First I couloured the window frame using Photoshop. I then painted the curtains with a white pearl paint and then stamped the flower from CaroLines Eyelet Flowers Die Sheet.
A Martha Stewart punch was used to edge the backing paper. Acetate was glued behind the window and the window placed over the other Thomas Kincade paper.
The clock was a sticker from my stash as was the cat (CraftTime I think).

This week's CD Sunday Challenge is...Buttons.

This is my entry

The card is from Hunkydory and the papers and images from Debbi Moore's new CD, Shabby Chic Vintage Flowers.

The 3 main panels of the card were covered with the backing papers. Two strips of paper were punched with one of Martha Stewarts punched (Daisy Chain?) and glued to the middle panels.

The main image and message were printed on to card and cut out. The message was layered on to gold mirror card. The edges of the main image were embellished with glitter glue. The 'ribbon' was again from the CD.

The buttons were from Dress It Up, the hooped backs being removed with wire cutters (cover with hand or towel while doing this as the bits fly everywhere!)

This is my DT entry for this week's Rainbow Lady Challenge...Island Paradise.

The footprint was taken from a photo I took when we were in Australia (which is an island!!). Manipulated in CraftArtist over a background paper from a kit by Flergs. The bubbles are from the same kit.

The other elements...frame, rocks and shells are from kits from Daisy Trail.

The CD Sunday Challenge this week is...Bling It On

This is my entry

The card is from Hunkydory. The backing paper is from Peerless Designs..Floral Elegance. The Jewelled Dragonfly is from CaroLines (DE02C392L).

The dragonfly was stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid ink and embossed with pearl powder. The 'jewels' weredecorated with Glossy Accents, spread into shape with a cocktail stick and then sprinkled with glitter. The 'beads' were tiny pink crystals. larger gemstones were applied to the body.

The corners of the central square were stippled with Tattered Rose Distress and Brilliance Galaxy Gold

inks. The four flower were punched from the backing paper and decorated with a pink gemstone.

The CD Sunday Challenge this week is...Bling It On

Strips of the backing paper were layered on to black card and hlued to the main card. Four smaller rectangles of card were glued into the spaces and a pink dragonfly brad attached to each.

inks. The four flower were punched from the backing paper and decorated with a pink gemstone.

This is my entry for this week's Rainbow Lady Challenge...Handmade Flowers.

All the DT member's cards have been made using my Flower Power Digistamps. It shows how the sets can be used to create flowers of different sizes with different numbers of petals.

For this card you will need to print on to vellum..6 of the petal sets...2 being large and 4 being smaller,

eg: making the large petal about 2.5 ins. across and the smaller about 1.5 ins.

Once printed, cut all the petals and one of the large flower centres out. Shape the petals using an embossing tool (for parchment craft). Roll each petal round the wooden handle, then roll round the thinner metal spike to curl the tips of each petal. Use a large embossing tool (6mm) in the centre of the three petals to 'cup' them.

Repeat for all of the petal layers.

Put a small dot of glue in the centre of the largest petal layer and fix the other layer on to to make a 6 petal layer. Repeat with the rest of the layers, cup the flower centre and glue in the middle. This makes the large flower.

Take the 4 largest petals from the smaller set, shape and glue to make a flower (with fewer petals than the large one). Repeat with the smallest layers.

Glue a gemstone in the centre of each flower.

Add glitter using a Quickie Glue Pen if wished.

The background paper is from Ooh La La's CD...Femme Fatale.

The trellis or lattice is an embossing folder from Creative Expressions and the border punch from EK Success. Once embossed, the trellis was inked with Brilliance Moonlight White ink applied with a fan brush...masking the cross pieces.

This weeks CD Sunday Challenge is...Dreams.

This is my entry.

The image and papers are from Ooh La La's Dreams of Tranquility. The image and blue paper are printed on vellum. The pink/blue background printed on paper. The card is from Hunkydory.

The image was mounted on to patterned mirror card (Kanban) using Glue-It vellum dots...not used them before...pretty good. The pink/blue paper edged using a Martha Stewart punch.

The blue vellum paper stamped with a design from CaroLines Stars 1 Die Sheet (DS79C301) using white Brilliance ink and then decorated with glitter glue.

The butterfly punch is from Anna Griffin, decorated with glitter glue. Star crystals added to the main image.

This is my DT entry for Rainbow Lady's Challenge #162, which uses a digital image from Stamp-n-doodle, who are our sponsors for this week.

I used the Stampndoodle image and papers from a Daisy Trail kit (Cats and Dogs). I converted the sleeping cats and dog to a png file in Photoshop and recoloured in Serif CraftArtist. I created the 'dream bubbles' from background papers from the Scrapbook kit and also used the CraftArtist punch to make the background from another paper. I then converted the word 'Dreaming' to a curve and positioned it above the images. Then it was placed on a brown backing.

This is my DT card for Rainbow Lady's Challenge #161...A Stitch in Time

featuring a digistamp from CHICHI

The background paper and sprinkles brush are from Daisy Trail Cake Shop Digikit. The cross stitch pattern added from Serif CraftArtist.

I converted the digistamp to a png in Photoshop and printed it (reversed) on to acetate. I fixed it to pink mirror card using double-sided sticky paper and cut the design out. Copic marker pens were used to colour the strawberries, glitter glue on the icing and heart gemstones glued on and around the image.

This is my DT card for Rainbow Lady's Challenge #160 In the Country

It was created using two of CaroLines Silhouette Downloads (2 and 3) available from

CaroLines Digistamps.

These are the stages for making the card.

1. Import the circular silhouette background (Sils. Coll. 1) into your graphics programme. It should be approx. 3 ins. diameter.

2. Import and resize the Meadow Frame ( Sils. Coll. 3) and position over the background.

3. Import, resize and position your chosen images (from both Silhouette Collections) into the scene.

4. Import the sun shaped 'mat' ( Sils. Coll. 3), resize and position behind the silhouette scene leaving a border so it looks like a frame.

5. Import, resize and position the Teardrop Ring ( Sils. Coll. 2) on to the mat around the scene.

Print two of the scenes on to card.

Import, resize and position the background paper ( Sils. Coll. 2) behind the silhouette scene. Delete the scene and print the paper.

Cut out one of the Silhouette scenes. Cut the mat from around the other scene and then cut across the line that divides the scene in two...just above the hedgehog.

6. Layer the background paper on to black card. Bend the points of the sun mat up a little and stick in the middle of the background paper using double-sided sticky pads.

Next fix the hedgehog part of the meadow over that on the card with sticky pads.

Punch 4 dragonflies or similar and glue to each corner of the card.

CD Sunday...Mixed Bouquet

Ooh La La...Summer Flowers

The background paper is from Ooh La La CD...Femme Fatale, the flowers and paper on the vase are from MCS.. Paper Flower Expert. The vase and fern are stamps from CaroLines.

The papers and flowers were printed on Conqueror Champagne paper, which give a golden glow.

The vase was stamped and embossed with gold tinsel powder. The ferns were stamped with Pearlescent Ivy Brilliance ink.

Apologies for the lighting but it shows the gold tinge quite well!

Fireworks from Obsidian Dawn.

First the background with a white square over it. Then the fireworks were coloured and added, then the map and flag, lastly the label.

I finally decided I should start sorting out my family photos and make an album for my aunt for Christmas.

This is a page with my grandmother and grandfather getting married in 1926. I've found out how to get rid of dots and marks on the old photos...it makes a great difference. Also a photoshop style for sepiaing (if that's a word!), so even if they are already sepia it makes them all the same shade.

I thought I'd share some pages with you...

This week's Ooh La La Challenge is ...Father's Day

The image and paper are from Ooh La La's Dreams of Tranquility ( Goddess of the Tides). The image was reversed and printed on to acetate, stuck on to double-sided sticky paper and then on to a starry holographic card. It was then mounted on to navy card embossed with one of Sissix's folders. The word is from CaroLines Special Days Die Sheet. The card was then embellished with shell Dress It Up buttons (with the backs cut off with wire cutters...beware of flying bits of plastic...cover with a towel) punched circles of card with Glossy Accents.

This weeks Tag It On Challenge is..Wings and Things

As luck would have it I was at a workshop with Crafty Individuals and we were making tags!

The tag is from Crafty Individuals as is the chipboard frame. The frame was stamped with one of my texture stamps and Cromson Copper Brilliance ink. The tag was then decorated with all sorts of embellishments.

This week's CD Sunday Challenge is to use a digistamp as well as images from a CD.

This is my entry

The papers are from Joanna Sheen's CD Eastern Treasures.

The digistamp (flower) is one of my Petal Power digis...DIG001, coloured altered to purples.

I cut the doily die (Martha Stewart) using the Cuttlebug and glued it to white card. Trimmed so points were at the edge. I rounded the corners of the white card and also the other bamboo paper. The latter was glued to lilac card.

The flower digi was printed on to vellum, the pieces cut out and made up according to intsructions. A gemstone made the flower centre. Triangular purple gemstones were glued in some of the doily spaces (what else can you do with triangle gemstones?) and a thin line of glitter applied to the outside of the doily using a Quickie glue pen.

Butterflies punched from the same paper as doily and glued to corners.

The image is from Joanna Sheen's Thomas Kincade CD, printed on glossy photo paper.

The floral chain punch is from Martha Stewart.

The image was cut into 3 and mounted on to white pearl card. Three floral chains were glued to card and then the 3 image parts glued across them.

This week's CD Sunday Challenge is...Say It With Scallops

The papers are from Peerless Designs..Floral Elegance.

I cut the scalloped square with my Accucut machine. I used Photoshop to create a scalloped circle from one of the papers, imported it to Serif CraftArtist and resized it. It was then cut into four...each quarter was glued to black card which was then glued to the scalloped square (glued on to black card).

The flower is one of my Digistamps, Petal Power 6, printed on to vellum, made according to instructions.

Small pink pearls were then glued around the inner square and four butterflies punched from the same paper.

This week's CD Sunday Challenge is...Die Cutting

As I missed last weeks challenge (Oriental) I've made a card using both topics!

The main image and paper are from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams.

The die cut is one of my new Cut-Outs...Corner Diamond 1. I cut it from black card, scanned the diamond part into computer and created a template from it. I then imported the CD image and placed the template ( making it a bit smaller) over it, adjusting the size until it 'looked right'.

The corners were put through a cuttlebug Eastern embossing folder. I then sponged the four corners with Glacier Blue Opalite ink and embossed with several layers of clear powder to create the lacquered effect. The pieces were layered over the paper and mounted on to the card.

Embellished with gems and pearls.

Border and corner punch is one of Martha Stewart's...I always keep any 'punchings' that may be used as embellishments, in this case the flowers. The flower is a Prima flower.

NEW DRAGONFLY STAMPS

I decidied to try Sheena Douglass's Paint Fusion technique with my new Heartistic Dragonfly stamps.

I crackled the large Scalloped Circle Mountboard Cut-Out and stamped 3 of the dragonflies with grey ink.

Then painted the wings and bodies. The whole circle was sprayed with a glitter spray from Crafter's Companion.

We have a new mountboard shape in the Garden Pack of Cut-Outs...a large Watering Can.

Here's what it looks like decorated with a poppy from Sheen Douglass's set of Paint Fusion stamps.

The watering can was painted with 2 coats of black acrylic paint, stamped with Sheena's poppy stamp and leaves, and then painted using her Paint Fusion technique. A layer of Distress Crackle finished it off.

Here is my entry for Rainbow Lady's latest challenge..Lilac Wine

The background paper is from one of MCS Parchment CDs. The bottle and pinky lilac glass are mountboard Cut-Outs (CaroLines) textured with embossing folders. The bluey lilac glass is cut from acetate.

The bottle and bluish glass are coloured with alcohol inks. The linkish glass coloured with lilac Brilliance inkpad and embossed with a clear glitter powder.

an Anniversary Plaque / Decor Plate to hang on a wall

The fan uses an Oriental Fan Decor Plate (CaroLines), painted with ivory acrylic paint, decorated by stamping and embossing with gold tinsel powder, a heart 'Edger' stamp (CaroLines) around the outer edge, with the message also embossed. The fan handle was inked with Brilliance Galaxy Gold and embossed with several layers of clear powder. While the embossing was still hot, the handles was pressed on to CaroLines Tiles 2 Texture Mat.

The Fan design is from Hinny Bop's Fantastic CD, printed on Champagne Conqueror paper (from Staples), edged with border Peel-Offs, more flowers decoupaged with Glossy Accents applied for dewdrops.

The fan was decorated further with gemstones and a bow printed from the Fantastic CD.

It didn't go quite according to plan as they've changed the wrappers on the sweets and I had no CD's with cakes or proper sweet!

The lantern was made using new CaroLines Digistamp Lantern Template and one of Crafty Ann's backing papers. It was printed on glossy card. This is my entry for Crafty Ann's Challenge 24 - 'Anything but a Card'

Briefly, the lantern has been made using my new digistamp: Lantern Template (DIG057) over one of Crafty Ann's backing papers (link above) and printed on to glossy card. The acetate windows were stamped with rubberstamp designs from Silhouettes 1 Die Sheet. Once assembled the lantern was decorated with sequins and the handles tied with gold lametta.

It was made using designs from Peerless Designs CD Feathered Friends.

The seeds are Nyjer seeds which goldfinches love. They were fixed to the hexagonal frame using Glossy Accents and the birds decoupaged over the various papers from the same CD. The borders were printed on gold shimmer paper.

This is my entry for this weeks CD Sunday Challenge ...Buttons and Bows.

It was created on the Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 CD rom.

It is actually purple but for some reason it's scanned blue!

I put Glossy Accents over the round jewels and the ribbons on either side and embossed the ribbon at the base of the card with Crystal Meltdust powder. Four heart gemstones round the buttons.

Fluttering Melodies

The music paper is from Peerless Designs...Vintage Ladies, printed on paper, acetate and a pearly champagne coloured paper. Bits cut up and stuck on to double-sided sticky tape to make collage...distressed, and decorated with note die cuts. My butterfly design printed over the same papers and acetate. Acetate butterflies put on to sticky tape and glitter sprinkled on the back. Flower stamens for the large butterfly. The butterfly wings can be pulled away from the card.

It is actually the card I've made for my husband...it's our 25th wedding anniversary this week!

We have 2 new digistamp Rosettes making 3 in total. Then we needed some frames for the flowers and new Butterfly Duets and so....

The Hearts Frames below can be used individually or as a group. The colour and size can be changed in most graphics programmes.

Print the image at least twice on to paper or vellum, cut and glue the layers to make a flower.

Today it's a Rose Parasol Decor Plate.
Painted with acrylic paint, 'distressed' with Beige Brilliance ink and Lace Texture Mat. Roses in Orchid ink, handle embossed and Colour Me Crazy Mini Delphiniums coloured with pearl gemstones as centres.

I've just looked through my blog pages and found I put the Layering Petals on twice!! Age I suppose!

However, these are different...Silhouette Pyramage and Invertage sheets. Cut and layer and glue. There 2 sheets, one is Dusk (below) and the othed is Dawn.
